Mário Silva is the executive president of the Portuguese Association Against Childhood Obesity since 2010 representing more than 350.000 kids involved in the largest obesity prevention program in Portugal. Before he worked for the “dark side of the force” in his own words when he was coordinator of marketing campaigns targeting children for some of the biggest fast food brands as working for Iberian Office of Copyright Promotions Licensing Group. After 3 years he resigned for ethical reasons. Despite not being a patient, obesity was always present in his life since birth through his direct family and friends. His best and oldest friend is living with obesity since childhood and she’s now a mother of a healthy 2 year old girl.
